with coffee. Yummy. Earlier I ate (drank?) a cup of fake tomato soup, which is easy to make here in the office. Just boil water and stir. I give the fake soup an A+ for ease of preparation, but a D- for taste and texture. The peanut butter crackers are, however, superb. Jif crunchy peanut butter. Premium saltine crackers. A+ all around.
Unless you compare it to the meal I had last night with my friend and former landlady Betty. We ate at the Blue Cow. She had champagne chicken, and I had prime rib. I could eat only half of it because it was half a cow. And the half I didn't eat was still bloody. So I ate carrots and potatoes and brought home the bloody half to be recooked tonight after my night class. Even the coffee last night was delicious. The conversation was also wonderful. We really enjoyed catching up with each other.
Bonnie Blue has had her floor mat, driver's side only, recalled. Apparently the design of the mat means it can ride up and push against the accelerator, causing a wild ride. Weird.
It's supposed to get cold enough for frost tonight, so I've asked Esteemed Spouse to bring in the house plants (like the spider plant). Despite temps in the low forties last night, I was actually a bit too warm in the apartment. Apparently for all the penny pinching most landlords do, they still realize that people don't like to freeze. (Melting in the summer is a different matter, though.) Tonight I'll likely freeze going home since all I've got on is a 3/4-sleeve sweater over my t-shirt and jeans. I noticed after returning home last night after dinner with Betty, my porch light was not on. The switch was in "on" position, but the connection is clearly weak. Sometimes when I flick the switch off and on again, I can get the light to come on. This is a dangerous situation since the porch is really dark and there aren't any lights to speak of in the parking lot. And I worry about faulty wiring in such an old house.
Back to grading. I live for the power.

See, I knew you loved the power! (hearing the 90's song lyrics...I've got the pow-er!) Can't wait until I get to do it...except mine will consist of some sort of history or civics information garnered by a pubescent and/or teenager who could probably give a, uh, sure-happy-its-thursday)
