Monday syndrome

Esteemed Spouse returned last night about 8:30 p.m. from dinner with the job candidate; then he had to get up early and head out the door to listen to her presentation this morning. It's his long day (night class tonight), so I feel for him. He's probably thinking that I don't want to spend time with him since I didn't want to sit and watch tv with him last night, but I'm used to going to bed earlier than he is. And the less I watch tv, the less interested I become in watching tv.

I napped through the Saints beating the Lions yesterday. I'd intended to watch so that I could have something to chat about with my Saints-fanatic brothers. Instead of "The South Shall Rise Again," the mantra in our family is "This will be the Saints' Year!" So far, we dwell in anticipation rather than bask in fulfillment.

I'm feeling sinus-headachey today. That's what I get for telling my friend Jackie that my sinuses were better. She's on the verge of having sinus surgery, poor thing.

It's Monday. Why?
