Dreaming of cats

In my dreams last night, I was at Aunt Susie's and the place was crawling with cats. That's what I get for watching an Animal Planet episode on cat shows last night. One of the cats in my dream was sucking a tiny cat-sized pacifier. It reminded me of that strange new doll that "breastfeeds" on the little vest with nipples that girls wear when they "feed" their baby dolls.

We had enough rain yesterday that the basement got water in it. I think we're getting mold or mildew or something down there. My sinuses are AWFUL today. My ear hurts, and I have vertigo.

My beloved spouse will return from Chicago quite late tonight. The cat has gone into mourning for him and is forlorn.

Today's photo is of two cats we used to have: our dear late Savannah on the left, and Fang, a gray Persian mix who added much joy to our lives when we lived in Statesboro, Georgia. Fang died right before we moved to Missouri. She was so sweet and loved to skid in piles of newspapers and magazines. She could sit in a chair like a person. We called her Fang because she had one bottom tooth that stuck up out of her mouth like a cartoon character. One of my online students this semester has commented upon disliking cats because "they're creepy." ???? Why is it that people who don't like cats usually say cats are creepy, antisocial, and stand-offish, whereas those of us who love cats know that cats are none of those things?
