chipmunk Chip or Dale?

The chipmunk that has been entertaining us by eating the peanuts we've set out for him....
You'd better keep your eyes open because this little dude is FAST! Zip, zam, zowie!

I like to get up early, and the animals outside my window are one of the joys of the early riser. If only I could walk outside in my pajamas without scandalizing the neighbors!

The squirrels haven't been around for a few days. At one point there were three who were competing for the nuts we toss out. Some years we entertain ourselves with tossing bits of bread to the ducks and geese, but people fuss because such behavior is thought to keep the fowl from migrating south when the time comes. No one can complain about the squirrels and chipmunks, I hope, especially since the chipmunk seems to live underneath our front porch all year long.
