Damn him. To think that I really liked him and would have voted for him! I guess my husband's sixth sense about John Edwards was right. He didn't like him, didn't trust him, thought he was sleazy. Normally I am NOT taken in by a pretty face (and you gotta admit, he's easy on the eyeballs), but he seemed so totally devoted to Elizabeth (whom I would have voted for in lieu of Kerry). So here the poor woman is, dying of cancer, and the sleaze-bag is off banging another woman who isn't worthy of licking the dust off Elizabeth Edwards' shoes. Damn him, damn him.
I'll bet right now Hillary Clinton is GLAD that Edwards endorsed Obama instead of her.
This unsavory revelation will hasten Elizabeth Edwards' death. I've seen it happen time and again. Stress and unhappiness are like fuel to the cancer fire. John Edwards should be publically horse-whipped. Elizabeth should have the honor of the first blow.
I'm not normally so hard on people who cheat on their spouses since I'm aware of the frailty of human flesh (not to sound Biblical). But when your spouse is already about as far down as a human being can go, it's the height of cruelty to injure him or her in such a fashion. It's spitting on open wounds. It's shameful, disgraceful, and disgusting. I hope that John Edwards suffers for what he has done to his wife, and that trash-heap girlfriend (with her bleached hair and low-class clothing) should be made to suffer, as well. I cut her no slack. In fact, if a woman has an affair with a man she knows is married, then she's a slimy cesspool of sewage, just like he is. Don't hand me that "Oh, but we were so in love!" shit. If you really love someone, you don't hurt him/her, and you don't want to bring dishonor to him/her or to his/her family.
Think of the kids! If John Edwards had been my father, I'd want to change my name. I'd even vote Republican, just to slap back at him.
And that's all I'm going to say on the topic. From here on out, John Edwards does not exist. I'll watch the news to keep up with what happens to Elizabeth, but he's dead.
