Getting ready

I've been loading the car with things for my office. The alarm is set for six a.m., and I have my clothing set out for morning. Tomorrow my spouse starts classes, and since his first class isn't until 3 p.m., he'll likely prefer to sleep late. He's doing three classes back to back on Mondays, with the last one being his night class. I'm sure he'll be exhausted on Monday evenings.

I'm bringing some sheets with me for Betty's bed. I don't know if I'll tell her I'm swapping out or not. Surely she wouldn't care. She doesn't seem to be the type to get her feelings hurt.

I'll be driving back home on Tuesday evening. Then maybe my husband and I will head back up on Friday so we can bring more of my stuff, mostly books. I'm going to try to keep as much there as possible so that I won't have any excuse for not doing my work at school.

Today would have been my father-in-law's 86th birthday. It's hard to believe he's been gone six years. It's even harder to believe my own father has been gone for twenty!

My husband helped me fill out some of the paperwork for my job, and part of that included designating life-insurance beneficiaries. I didn't write down Sallie Mae as my beneficiary, but if I died, that's who would get the money, given how much I owe!

Inspector Lynley comes on shortly, and I do hate to miss a Mystery. Watching that tv show will be my last act of the day, except for getting ready for bed. It's nice to end the day with something pleasant (and believe me, looking at actor Nathaniel Parker is pleasant).
