I caught most of Hillary Clinton's speech at the Democratic National Convention last night, and it was her best ever. She really was inspiring and motivating. And the audience loved it! I especially liked it when she said, "No way. No how. No McCain."
I honestly don't have that much against John McCain. It's just that I have even less for him.
Tonight both Joe Biden and Bill Clinton are supposed to speak. I have missed hearing former President Clinton speak. He is so eloquent and intelligent compared to the Idiot-in-Chief who can't say sh*t with a mouthful of it. (And believe me, most of what Bush Jr. has to say is fecal.) I also look forward to Obama's speech Thursday night.
We're supposed to have no electricity tomorrow for four hours while some work is done on the lines. It had better not be during the convention. I don't care if the power is out early in the day, since it makes for a good excuse to do something else, like maybe go shopping! I'm not normally a big shopper, but my having been gone has meant that the pantry is bare. I'm out of yogurt, and that will never do!
Right now I'm waiting for my school's tech support to work some magic on my problems accessing the school's services via computer. The nice young man with whom I spoke told me to give it about fifteen minutes before trying again. If it's fixed, I'll be surprised and delighted. But chances are, when I get back on campus, it will be broken in my office again. I seem to be able to have it one place or another, not both. Ain't progress dandy?
