Today my husband's niece Jennifer posted a new photo of her son Aiden and daughter Shelby on Facebook. I just had to "borrow" it because they are so cute. Aiden reminds me a lot of my boys at that age. He's about to turn three. Oh, these ARE the best days, and I'd adore to have them back, to be able to cuddle my two little fellows again.
Amazingly, the temperature has climbed up to 40 degrees. However, snow still covers the ground. Occasionally, a chunk of snow will slide off the roof and startle us as it crashes onto the back deck. The Weather Channel predicts less precipitation than usual for our area for the month of March and normal temperatures. For the South, the prediction is cooler temperatures and more precipitation. I know lots of people who won't like that forecast.
My cat is griping at me. He hates for my husband to be on one floor of the house and for me to be on another floor. He likes us to be together so he can keep his eyes on us. I'm not quite sure what he expects us to do: plot against him? discuss how we'll replace him with a new cat? change his favorite brand of cat litter? short-change him on the wet food?
My sinuses have been giving me trouble today. I've run out of Zyrtec D and need to pop by the drugstore to get more. I also need to try to get my hair trimmed this week. Maybe if I leave for Big Rapids early tomorrow, I can get both done.
Tonight we'll probably watch some of the closing ceremonies of the Olympics. We're also recording a 2010 version of Hitchcocks' The Thirty-Nine Steps. Hitchcock himself did two versions, but it will be interesting to see what the modern version looks like.
