I can't believe it! I am ecstatic! The New Orleans Saints have won the Super Bowl! This is so incredible, so amazing, so fulfilling and encouraging. I nearly ground my teeth down watching the game, and now I'm exhausted. But happy. So very very happy.

Look, I found your blog!! How did I not know about this?!
Woo hoo! The Saints won! Those last three minutes were sheer beauty. Poor little Mr. Manning looked so perplexed as to why he just couldn't complete a pass while practically standing in the Saints' end zone. Hmmm, could it be because those Saints had a passionate commitment to winning that game?
And, hell, I don't even like football. This is about so much more than football.
Now, I can't fail to point out, while we're on the subject of spectator sports, that there are a few of us thinking people out here who actually like NASCAR. So let's just call it a draw--I can't help that some NASCAR fans are idiots, and you can't help that the Green Bay Packers exist.
Now, Jackie, not all NASCAR fans are idiots, but you have to admit, watching loud things run around in circles is a bit like hog farming. :-)
That game was sheer happiness, and I'm not that big of a football fan myself. But it was just so good to feel proud to be a Louisiana native again.
