I had to share a photograph my husband took of his car with a Saints balloon tied on it. He predicts the balloon won't be there tonight when he gets out of class at 9 p.m. I predict it will be frozen to the car if it's still there. We have a winter storm warning moving our way, and it's not going to be pretty.
I'm concerned that classes will be interrupted tomorrow and Wednesday, leaving me adrift up here without my husband and cat. Yes, I'll have hot chocolate and other comforts. Just not my beloveds.
I'm also worried that our Ferris Authors reading for tomorrow night at 7:30 will be canceled or postponed. And I'm supposed to be observed Thursday, so much may occur that will interrupt the schedule I've developed. One thing is that I've bought donuts for my 104 students to the tune of nearly $80 at Krispy Kreme. I cannot bring those donuts back to my apartment or be trapped with them here in my office! The smell of them (I put them in the trunk) left me light-headed on the drive up to Big Rapids. It's been years since I've eaten a donut.
