Sunday before school starts

I feel rather "Eleventh Hour" with my emotions today. Yesterday we had someone come out to check the cable/internet, which has been popping in and out (and even after the person came and did something, who knows what, the problem continues). In order for the person to get to the equipment, I had to clean out my office. Typical lazy person that I am, I simply moved stuff into the next room. But now I'm having to actually work in here. I've been employing the shredder rather a lot.

We got a small thin tv for my office. Now the old boxy one can join its brother in the basement. It still worked okay, but it's nice to have a tiny one that fits on my desk top. In fact, with the laptop computer instead of the desktop, I feel as if I have tons of room on my desk now.

I have a meeting at 8:30 a.m. for the College of Arts and Sciences. My old pal Reinhold is acting Dean of CAS. There are other meetings this week, as well. Groan. I feel as if I'm kicking and screaming and dragging my feet because I really am unwilling to let go of summer. One of the cartoons today had a child creating a Mobius Strip out of the summer calendar in an effort to keep summer from ending. I can totally empathize.

More later, perhaps. The dryer is buzzing and calling my name in its less-than-pleasant "voice."
