The Esteemed Spouse was up early to play golf. Simon is being relatively quiet this morning. I got cold during the night (windows open, attic fan running), so I spent some sleepless hours. As a result, I slept till after nine this morning and now I feel cotton-brained.
My older son is on a plane headed for Sacramento, California, where he will disembark and help his brother drive back to Arkansas. I'm waiting to hear from him. He was supposed to text me from his layover in Dallas, but he didn't, so now I'm worried that something has gone amiss with the plans.
Less than a week remains of July. AAAGH! I do not want this summer to end. I'm enjoying being lazy and just doing my arts and crafts. As much as I love teaching, I'm basically a self-centered person, and I like having lots of "me" time.
Writing is not coming easily to me today. Lately I dream about remodeling houses, which could mean any number of things. I am interpreting it to mean that something in my life needs to change, but maybe it just means I need to clean up this house! Simon did leave us with quite a collection of hair tufts all over the house, and he added a few cat pukes here and there as accents.
Today's photo is one of my niece Stephanie with her daughter. She is deaf, almost totally, and the mother of three. Her sister Elizabeth is the new bride.
