This cup of "soup" (boiling water poured onto soup mix powder) is neither nutritious nor delicious, but it is warm, which is important. I'm freezing. The air conditioner is running nonstop in my office. Oddly, the gas heat has been turned on in my apartment (where I still have my window fan in the window). All in all, my climate control is suffering from multiple personalities.
It's not easy to consume boiling soup while my burned lip still hurts. The skin is missing from the corner of my mouth, the result of my hot glue gun mishap. During my crafts project, I pressed a piece of glass down into the hot glue blob. The hot glue blob came up over the end of my middle finger on my left hand. Without thinking, I stuck the burned finger into my mouth, resulting in a blob of simmering hot glue sitting on my lip. Now the skin is missing there, and the spot alternately oozes and dries and cracks. My fingernail is somewhat discolored from being "fried" by the hot glue, as well. But it no longer hurts, fortunately.
I've been trying to decide what to do with my hair. I either need a haircut or a commitment to growing my hair longer again. Last night I dreamed I had waistlength straight red hair. Sadly, this morning I still have short graying semi-fuzzy thin brown hair. Ugh.
Back to work. I've enjoyed my brief respite from class prep.
