Sick relatives

Just about the time I think everyone is healthy for once, then I find out they aren't. My cousin (Junior to me, Walt to the rest of the world) is having serious problems. He's a liver transplant survivor and had been doing well. Now he's got something wrong with his brain.

My mother-in-law just had a colonoscopy. She didn't want to tell us she had blood in her stool. They found a polyp and want to do another test on her stomach tomorrow. Fingers crossed for good news on that front.

My cousin Trudy has had some health issues and is waiting for test results. Something to do with blood. My cousin Hulene had brain surgery a month or so ago, and she still suffers with numbness on one side of her face and difficulty talking.

Meanwhile, today has been a beautiful day, weather-wise, but it's hard to enjoy it when your mind is a thousand miles away with loved ones you wish you could hug but cannot. Today is the day they buried June Krohn in Mississippi. She's someone I wish I could have hugged one last time.

I had big plans for today but my stomach went all haywire on me. I've been dealing with diarhhea and trapped gas for hours now, but finally I'm feeling more normal. Maybe tomorrow I'll get some of those plans fulfilled.

I stole another photo of my son Daniel from his facebook. He's looking good. I think he's a bit bored there in Sacramento at present. Maybe he'll finally get himself motivated to pursue his dream of cooking lessons.
