last day of the year

There are places where it's already 2010. We're planning a quiet evening at home, catching up on some tv programs previously recorded and maybe eating some cheese and crackers. Today we went to Sam's Club and bought too much (Esteemed Spouse is fussing), but I figure I got an extra paycheck this year, so I should be able to splurge a little. Of course it cost a fortune to have the kids up for Christmas, but it was well worth it.

I'm trying to decide on my new photo. I had to talk hubby into taking a new one (he wants to do everything the hard way), and of course, he said, "Do you want your hair like that?" in a tone of voice that let me know that I did NOT want my hair like that, even though I'd just spent ten minutes arranging it. Sigh. Then I smiled for the camera, while he fussed about the backdrop, and as he fussed, my smile faded and faded and faded.... The smile I wound up with is so fake. And people wonder why I don't smile in photographs. Judge for yourself.
