For HOURS, I searched for my prescription refills so I could send them in. Finally I went online to reorder, but found I couldn't reorder because I had no refills remaining. The doctor had written me new prescriptions when I was in his office last (mid-October), and I knew I had them around here somewhere, along with the paperwork I have to send with them. I blamed my poor husband for throwing this stuff away when he tidied up the hall table for Halloween, but he denied being guilty. Nevertheless, I was convinced that he must have done it since I could not locate these things that I would NEVER have thrown away or misplaced.
However--and dear reader, if you know what a messy house I have--to no one's surprise, I did finally find the missing stuff. On my own desk. In my own office. In a stack of stuff I'd already looked through at least twice. Or so I thought. Meanwhile, I've wasted the morning looking through stacks of stuff in the living room. In the den. In the dining room. In our bedroom. I absolutely must do some housekeeping one day. Just yesterday, my husband threw away a 2007 calendar that had been sitting on the kitchen island since we put up the 2008 calendar.
Maybe it is time for us to move again. Somehow, moving is the only way I ever get the house clean.
