Doctor, doctor

Yesterday I saw my eye doctor about the floaters and eye soreness. She prescribed prescription eyedrops and wants to see me again in a month.

Today I saw my primary care doctor, who is cussin' and fussin' over the new computerized system at his office. My blood pressure was low, my pulse was low, all looked good. Back again in six months.

Amusingly, I was informed that I was too YOUNG to get the shingles vaccination because they would not give it until I was 60. That's a mere 3 months and 11 days from now, so I thought it was being rather nit-picky. It's not that I wanted to get the shingles shot, but I also don't want to get shingles. I've heard it's miserable.

Next week I'll head back to the dentist to get those three fillings done that I had to postpone when I was trapped up in Big Rapids by the weather.

I made some delicious roast beef po' boys for supper last night. We're having left-over roast beef for supper tonight. Never any waste with roast beef around my house!

Still arguing with my numbskull relatives. I'm sure to them, I'm the numbskull. I can't believe how narrow-minded and intolerant most of them can be, especially my youngest sibling. Though he happily accepted the money I shared with him from My Mama's Waltz, now he's whining that I wrote about the family. He somehow likes to pretend that we were the Cleaver family. Hey, guess what, brother? There was only one female in the Cleaver family, and she did not in any way resemble our mother. And brother, you ain't the Beav.

My Esteemed Spouse is watching golf. It's the Masters, so of course, he's going to watch each and every second of it. Some seconds, he'll watch several times. Back up, rewatch. Again and again. But he did go with me to the doctor's office today and to take me to lunch afterward.

It rained for much of the night and part of the morning. The sun never did come out, but the temps are a bit warmer. I took a walk around the yard and noted all the plants and trees have buds. Poor babies. We're bound to have one more hard freeze that will kill all those little buds!

I dreamed about my father-in-law last night. I've gotten where I dream of him often. In my dream he was frail, though he looked healthy enough. I had to help him move some boxes or suitcases or something like that.
