Long long week

It's Thursday night, and I'm still in Big Rapids. In a couple of hours, I've got a meeting of PFLAG, Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays, more to help young people who have unaccepting parents and to help parents to accept their sons' and daughters' sexuality. And of course, just a short while ago, I dripped a bit of cherry juice from my diet tv dinner onto my white blouse. Should I change? Should I camouflage it with a pin or something? Argh.

It has been an incredibly long week, and obviously, it's not over yet. I hope the meeting does not last too long since I am really tired. I've had conferences with almost all of my pharmacy students. (One usually responsible student stood me up, twice.) I was at it until 10 p.m. last night. Three days in a row of conferences really suck out all my brain cells. Additionally, I did the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning thing today--even I was bored by my presentation!--and so I've been up since 5:45 to prepare it. I just haven't had the time to do much on it until today.

That went okay, but there were a couple of assholes present. Groan. Why must people think the way to interact is to contradict, debate, aggravate, irritate, cause serious pains in the ass? I'm one to talk, of course. Right now I'm about ready to knock some of my relatives in the head. Can you get any stupider than to believe in religion when there is so much out there that shows that no such entity as "God" could possibly exist! We cannot simply disregard the laws of physics just to enable people to have a Big Daddy to protect them.

I just want to sleep. If only I did not have another meeting to attend today!
