Hump day. What a week! One more day of teaching, and then I get to go home to see my beloved husband and cat.
It's exhausting teaching four classes back to back. I was ready to go home at the end of the day, for sure. The women's studies class is humongous! We had to drag in extra chairs. But the group seemed enthusiastic, so I know we're going to have a wonderful semester together.
And I think the advanced comp for pharmacy students isn't going to be as dry and boring as I had feared. The students are bright and funny and attentive. My classes are small, 20 in one, 15 in another.
I bought a humidifier for the apartment after the 16 percent humidity was drying out my throat and sinuses so badly that I awoke with a sore throat and cracked lips. The awful snow and cold has mitigated a bit--we actually got up to 32 today, with no snow falling--it's called the January thaw. Still, there are many, many weeks of winter left.
The Charter internet is cutting off and on, so I can't be sure that my blog will be saved, so I'm going to end here. I'm getting that awful message "Could not contact Blogger.com. Saving and publishing may fail. Retrying..."

Hello Sharon,
My name is Eric Ketzer, and I am a Manager with Charter Communications. It certainly sounds like you have a full plate teaching 4 classes a day, kudos to you for educating our young adults.
Recently there has been a rash of Denial of Service attacks that have affected multiple sites, Blogger being one of them. This could be the cause of the slow down, but I'd like to check your connections to make sure there isn't anything on our end. Please e-mail me the name, address, and phone number on the account to Umatter2Charter@chartercom.com, so I can ensure there are no errors with our service.
Thanks, Eric
