The first day of 2010 turned out to be cold and sunny here in Michigan. The video shot through my back patio door shows the conditions.
It's been a quiet day. We talked to Stephen for a little while. He's down in his back from the tension and cold, I suspect. It's been a long time since he's had to drive as far as he did on Christmas Eve. And he had to drive through horrible conditions, which probably made him tense.
I also heard from Teresa that my sister Sheila had gotten married Tuesday night. No one bothered to let me know, but then, it's no business of mine, is it? I do wish them well, and I do hope that the new husband (unlike the previous two) will treat her well. Sally says she likes him, but Sally liked Jim until we realized that Jim was a perverted manipulative child molester.
I've started gathering up the Christmas stuff from various rooms in the house and putting it all in the living room where it will be easier to repack and carry down to the basement to store. I need to get back to some of my crafts soon, too. Time is running out. School will restart soon, and I've got to do two new preps. We are starting to plan our Spring Break trip to Hawaii, and that's something wonderful to look forward to. There's so much to do there that we will have to plan carefully. I definitely want to see the volcano area, and my husband wants to go snorkeling. I do not plan to join him in that endeavor. This old gal hasn't worn a bathing suit in many, many years, and I don't think my saggy baggy flesh should be shown to the tan buff crowd in an island paradise. That day, I'll just sit on the beach and read while he plays in the water.
