Not Waving but Drowning

Not only have we had an extraordinary amount of rain, which I have had to drive in, by the way, making me tense and nervous, but I've got an extraordinary amount of grading to do this weekend, so I'm drowning. Not really. Just metaphorically. Still, I'll be glad to get a few days off before the summer session work begins. I'm back to having two classes (online) to teach, so at least the pay will help out the old bank balance.

Spring has truly sprung, with tulips and forsythia and other lovely colors and flowers everywhere. Even the beech tree that replaced the willow has leaves on it now.

May 1st. Wow. The semester truly seemed to fly by, which is odd for spring semesters. Usually they drag on and on and on....

I've got the going away festivities for Ruth and Genevieve tomorrow night, so I'd better get back to grading.
