I got a Friend invite from my former neighbor/cousin Trudy. Trudy grew up in the house next door. Her biological father was my dad's nephew, and her adoptive mother was my dad's niece. My dad worked for Trudy's adoptive father. I remember her mostly as the spoiled brat who bugged the hell out of my mother, but she's apparently turned into a lovely middle-aged woman, still a great beauty.
I like that I'm hearing from people I'd assumed I'd never hear from again, but it's turning out that we connect once and then that's it. I never go to their Facebook pages to check up on them, so of course, I could learn quite a bit if I did. I just don't feel right about it, for some odd reason. It's like going into someone's home and checking out their bathroom medicine cabinet on the sly. Yes, I know people put stuff out there for others to see, but privacy seems to be a casualty of this approach. At least with my blogging, others don't chime in with whatever they want to say in such a way that the whole world can read it.
Speaking of blogging, it's working well for my classes. More later as time passes.
And yes, I'm still ticked off about the Idol shocker.
