Happy Halloween again

Didn't we just do this a couple of months ago? I know--a remark like that means I'm getting older. At least I still continue to enjoy Halloween. My husband bought a lot of candy, so we're prepared with the treats. No decorations have been put up so far, and with my left shoulder in such a mess, I know I won't be able to do any decorating without his help. And he just headed out for a faculty meeting that will likely drag on until 4:30 or 5 p.m.

I just got off the phone with my sister Sally, who did not know that Junior had had his liver transplant. She also had news. My niece Melissa, who is married to a worthless blob who won't keep a job, has come into some good luck. The worthless blob's mother died due to medical malpractice, and as a result of the settlement, Blob will get (supposedly) over a million dollars. Given the intelligence level (low) and taste level (lower) of the blob in question, I don't expect much from the windfall to change in their lives. They might buy a fancy doublewide trailer. They should buy my sister Sheila a house since they've sponged off her for years.

I'm still waiting to hear about an appointment with the orthopedist. This shoulder is really painful, and it's making my life miserable. I can barely raise my arm enough to apply deodorant.
