By the pricking of my arm

Something not-so-wicked this way comes. The flu shot was so easy that I was not sure the nurse had even done it until she slapped a bandaid on me and thanked me for coming. It should always be so pleasant! The nurse who works with my doctor has a tendency to try to inject armbone when she gives the flu shot, so I got lucky with this tiny young thing who appeared to be trying to earn a Brownie badge in flu shots. I know it's that I'm getting older, not that they're getting younger. Or so I keep telling myself.

Then after a wholesome nap (I do love my new sofa!), I got to give a glowing endorsement of a friend of mine who had listed me as a reference. It's always a pleasure to say good things about good people.

Fridays are good, despite medical moments. Dr. S.
