Okay, it's just not right. It's 63 degrees, nearly ten degrees higher than normal for this time of year. They've taken the snow out of the week's forecast and returned it only next Saturday. (It can snow all it wants on Saturday. I don't have to drive anywhere!)
I'm fighting the siren call of a nap. My teeth hurt, I want a nap so badly! I've gone back to grinding my teeth again, so I guess I need to start wearing my bite splint again. That's probably the real reason my teeth hurt, not the need (desire!) for a nap.
Daytime tv is not conducive to getting work done. I don't watch soap operas. The Weather Channel provides me only with trivia (see above). The news depresses me. I'm addicted to and fascinated by the home fix-it shows, but I don't get those channels in my home office. (I know--I need one of those expensive, hard-to-operate tv's like the one downstairs in the den.) I can't grade papers in the den--it's too awkward.
Am I queen of bad excuses, or what? Geez, I need to get a grip. Today is Veterans' Day. I'll bet my father wouldn't have had all these excuses for not getting his work done. If there is a heaven, God rest his soul. I miss him mightily on this and every day. Dr. S.
