You can't fix stupid

I'm really tired of the debt-ceiling debate. The worst thing ever to happen to this country is the so-called Tea Party movement. Most of the politicians who rode in on this Crazy Horse are too limited in intelligence to understand the issues, mainly because they were elected by voters too limited in intelligence to understand the issues.

President Obama just spoke on the issue. He was firm and persuasive, but of course, the right-wing conservatives will call him rabid and insane, mainly because they won't admit that their dislike of him is not based on his politics but on his skin color.

I want to do a drawing that is a morphing of the images of Santa Claus and Jeebus. After all, what is Jeebus but Santa-for-Adults. I'm reading a book on the scientific basis for religious belief, and it's very interesting. It would not persuade a bible-thumper, but it makes a lot of sense to me. I read recently that people had been vandalizing the automobiles belonging to faculty in a university's biology department as an expression of their dislike of evolution (which right-wing bible-thumpers regard as heretical). I also heard recently that some people genetically have traces of Neanderthal DNA in their make-up. Not to make a cause-effect argument, but.... :-)

Guess I'd better get busy. Much to do today.
