Soon!

I just finished my second class of the day. Only 17 people were there. The class has 45 enrolled in it, so I think I can safely say that some people are getting a head start on Spring Break! I've canceled my two afternoon classes (optional conferences!) so I'm going to hang around here in my office until 3:30 and then head back to the apartment to gather my stuff. When I get back to Grand Rapids, I'll do laundry and start packing. Tomorrow we'll probably get up about 5 a.m., have some coffee, and head to the airport. We've got a layover in Chicago that should give us just the right amount of time to find breakfast and then our plane.

I've never flown on one of these huge airplanes before. Esteemed Spouse says it's one that has three rows: two seats on each side, with five seats in the middle section. On the way there, we have two of the side seats, so maybe we'll get to see some sights out the window, maybe not.

The weather report has some rain in our forecast, which is a bummer, but it's hard to argue with 80 degrees!

Guess I'd better get some work done before I head out.

Hello Professor Robideaux!

I know this is completely random, but I was a student of yours three years ago, when I first started at GVSU. I was just hoping to reconnect and say thank you for all your support! You were the first professor to shape my college career, and now I am going into writing, because of your class and the advice you gave me.

Also, apologies for posting this as a blog comment--I lost your email address into the black hole GVSU used to call their email server (I hated that system), and was hoping to reconnect. If nothing else, I just wanted to thank you.

I hope things are going well for you. If you ever want to catch up, let me know and maybe we can go out for coffee or something. I'd love to hear how your writing is going.

At any rate, I appreciate all of your help and advice freshman year, and I wish you the best. Take care!
