Apparently I had only thought about writing down the story about the lady bug, but had not done so. Actually, it's not really a lady bug since it's not red with black dots. It's more yellow-amber with dots. Still, it's a bug. Betty's house, in addition to the stink bugs (which Betty calls by some other name, desiring to cleanse her house of such unpleasant associations, perhaps), has been infiltrated by these little bugs. They fly and they hide. When I returned to Betty's house at the beginning of the semester, I found one of them snuggled into my alarm clock. Another flew around the room. Since I don't like to kill bugs, or anything else, I ignored it, assuming once the lights were out, the bugs would calm down.
I was asleep when I felt the bug land on my upper lip. Quickly I brushed at my lip, knocking the bug into the sheets. Of course, then I had to find it and get it out of the bed, or else I would be "bugged" all night long. That accomplished, I got back to sleep. The next morning, I had disrobed to step into the shower, when another bug of some sort dive bombed me in the bathroom. It was a larger bug, not a lady bug, so I could only assume that the bug conspiracy had spread past the stink bug and lady bug communities.
Today I'm going to purchase a mouse-proof box for my few food items. Unfortunately, I don't think I can get something to bug-proof my room at Betty's.
