Grades are in, finally!

I submitted my last grades this morning at 10:50, and then I got ready for physical therapy. It took us about forty minutes to get there. The roads were pretty messy and there was a lot of Christmas shopping traffic to get past. I spent some time with Jeff the PT guy, and he gave me a device that goes over the door that I can use to work my arm. (It's on a pulley, with a handle on each end, so my right hand and arm can control the pace at which my left hand and arm are raised above my head.)

When I got back to the waiting room, my husband told me that my department chair had called, wondering why I hadn't submitted my last grade report. Since the physical therapy facility is in a basement, his phone had not rung, but GW's message had gone onto voice mail. So when we got home, I had to get that straightened out. I had indeed properly submitted grades, but for some reason, the folks who do all that had put my name and class on a list of people who had not submitted grades.

It caused my husband and me to get cranky with each other. We're ready for our Christmas break to begin, if for no other reason than the pressure is off for a few days. He confessed to me this morning that he had not bought anything for me for Christmas. I haven't bought anything for him, either. Unless you count the monogrammed Christmas stockings that I got, which were delivered by an intrepid UPS guy yesterday (Sunday). (The mail didn't even come on Saturday, but then, the PO trucks are hardly the equivalent of a UPS truck when it comes to handling deep drifts of snow.)

And now, a guilt-free nap....
