Blizzard!

Holy moly, what a day! The snow stack on top of the garbage can is two feet tall. The wind is howling, roads are closed, and accidents abound, including one with five semi trucks. The word over and over again is "If you don't have to get out, stay home!" So that's what we're doing. I've talked to the physical therapist, and we'll try again to meet tomorrow. Meanwhile, I'm doing the exercises he prescribed for me to do. I can tell my arm is somewhat better, and I could probably handle doing the exercises myself if I have to.

There are idiots out actually snow-blowing. It's 7 degrees, with a windchill below zero, and the wind is blowing the snow as fast as the snowblowers are blowing it. It's against the law to shovel or blow snow into the street (apparently a lot of people do it anyway), and a home owner can be held liable for any accident that occurs due to snow being pushed into the street.

We're hoping that this weather won't delay or prevent our Christmas trip. It's certainly putting a damper on our Christmas shopping, that's for sure. Oh, well. Maybe Mother Nature is in collusion with the Bush administration to further ruin the economy.
