Trying to stay awake

Maybe I should stop eating peanut butter and banana sandwiches for lunch. Oh, heck. It wouldn't matter. Unless I was scooping pure caffeine out of a jar for lunch, I'd be sleepy about this time of day. It's siesta time.

I worked on my online class stuff today, which included adding a different picture to my home page. The same picture is here. I don't look too very old, do I? I was making a concerted effort to look open, approachable, friendly--since my online students will have no other vision of me. I hope some of them will send me photos of themselves, but not the huge memory-sucking ones.

In my usual last-minute frenzy to be organized, I hit Office Depot yesterday and bought some stuff. It will do what it usually does--work for a week or two, until I get sloppy and fall behind. Then whatever gets me through the week is what I'll use. One of these days, I'll actually start to act like a professional. Do like spouse does--type up comprehensive notes and class plans. Okay, I'm laughing at myself now. Dr. S.

The photo is nice, I think. And you could ask your students to limit the size of their images to less than 100KB. That's not unreasonable.

BTW, I hate chain mail letters, too, especially the ones that show email addresses for everybody and her sister, but I did get a laugh out of one the other day that said "Some days you're the bug and some days you're the windshield."

Cheers from a GVSU librarian....
