Finally, thanks to the folks with a bit of higher-powered authority (higher than ML), my courses are now open to my students. We're off and running. I'm excited. I still have a steep learning curve ahead of me, but now, at least, communication is possible.
Would anyone under the age of 50 understand if I wrote, "Work!!" (a la Maynard G. Crebbs on the old tv show Dobie Gillis)?
Would anyone else out there care? Alas. Probably not. I've reached the age of allusions to pop culture that are more historic than current.
At any rate, I do have to work.

- I'm a newly retired college writing professor. I loved teaching, but it's time to move on and reclaim some of myself. I also love my husband, my two sons, my daughter-in-law, and some (if not all) of my other relatives. I'm sort of anti-social, but I do claim some long-term friendships that are deeply important to me.
