Later on September 20: I'm starting to wonder why I don't just go back to quill pens and parchment. Okay, the main answer is that I never used quill pens and parchment. I'd probably find some stupid technological glitch that prevented me from getting ink, or that caused my quill to malfunction.
Why is it that all the computer stuff is second nature to people in their teens and twenties, but for us old fogies, it's like learning quantum physics? And I know that writing has nothing to do with technology, but all the good jobs require a tremendous amount of techno-savvy. If that's a word. Of course, until recently, "blog" wasn't a word. It's a hideous concoction of sounds, but it works, and that's all that matters, I suppose.
