At the presentation of "Vagina Monologues" tonight, I was honored to be named a Vagina Warrior. Out of eleven nominees, four were chosen. Three were members of the cast. I was the only Vagina Warrior who was an outsider. I got to get up on stage and be presented with a plaque. (see photo)
My former student Chantay did a wonderful performance. We went out to eat afterwards. I paid for a couple of other students' tickets (two young black women, one of whom used to be a student of mine).
I feel really honored. I do care so much about women's rights.
