Today's events

Now that I have satisfied my curiousity about my new toy, I'll mention what else I've done today. Much to our delight, we had another almost warm day. More snow melted, and the sky was again blue. I had a lunch date with my friends Sarah, Emma, and Arlene, so I headed for Uccello's for our 12:30 mealtime.

Everyone looked fabulous. Arlene continues to lose weight and has her hair done in a most flattering style. Emma is back to being a redhead, which is exquisite with her porcelain skin. Sarah looked adorable as always. I love her hair longer the way she's wearing it. Even though everyone is dieting, we still had a delicious lunch and caught up on GVSU's happenings.

Then my beloved husband and I took my car for a fill-up and a wash (which it badly needed). Afterwards, we talked to our older son on the phone for a while. He seems in a good mood, though concerned about his wife's increasing responsibilities at work. She's now on a national committee, so she's stressed. What's kind of funny is that also on this committee is the woman who posed for the librarian Action Figure that my husband gave Heather for Christmas one year. (Her name is Nancy Pearl.)

This has been a restorative weekend, the good weather doing much to restore my sense of being a human being and not a hibernating bear. It's even supposed to be pretty good for the first half of the week. I've got a dental appointment in the morning, so I'll take all the "good" I can get!
