I spent two hours at the dentist's office this morning. On one hand, my gums are doing well, and many of the pockets that had formed are now much better. On the other, I had two tiny cavities to be filled. There are two more to be filled, also, which I'll take care of next month. Right now, I'm numb and cold. For some reason, every time I get any sort of anesthetic, I get cold all over. My hands are so cold I can barely type.
It's a gloomy cloudy day, but it's not snowing. It's above freezing (barely). The radar shows a bit of icy precipitation, but nothing is hitting the ground. Later, I'll have to head north to Big Rapids, but until I feel "normal" (i.e., numbness goes away), I don't think I should drive. Coming home on Thursday will be a treat (she said sarcastically): more snow on the way.
On a totally unrelated topic, this woman who just added eight babies to her herd of six previous children was the topic of interview on one of the morning programs. She was being interviewed and was showing off those eight pathetic babies that looked like drowned rats. However, I couldn't help noticing her perfectly manicured French-tipped fingernails. Her lips appear to have been recently plumped up with collagen. Does she have an Angelina Jolie fixation? Or am I just self-conscious of my ragged chewed fingernails and my thin lips? For sure, I am not jealous of this woman's huge family. Two kids are plenty, thank you.
I've got to make some hot tea or something before I turn into a blogsicle.
