Another new kitten

Stephen and Heather will be adding another kitten to their family. They've purchased a Chartreux from an Oklahoma breeder and will pick him up in early October.

He's a real doll. Close up, he seems to look like Charlie Chaplin. Stephen has been blogging about Eli and is trying to harness-train him. His little harness has skulls on it. I hope he'll add the newcomer to the blog when he gets the wee fellow.

I do not want summer to end. I do not want to go back to school. Sigh. We have not yet won the lottery, so I guess I need to get busy with fall prep. First day of classes is Aug. 29, but there are meetings next week. Groan.

Daniel has been talking about starting an associate's degree in Computer Information Systems. I hope he will. His boss (the silversmith he's been apprenticing under) is probably not long for the world. He's badly diabetic and apparently does not take very good care of himself. He's irrational and paranoid, and from what Stephen says, he treats his workers rather badly. Daniel (as always) will tell Stephen about things he won't tell us.

Of course the new kittens in the family are making me want a new kitten, but Simon is not about to accept a usurper without complaint. He has been really lethargic lately, which makes me worry about him. But we've had a lot of hot weather, so in his dense fur coat, he's likely a bit overheated. He spends the day lately sleeping in a plastic clothes basket in the darkened bedroom.

I apparently have a new grandniece. Delmer's son Joey and his wife have a little girl, Cami Lynn. Curtis's son Adam and his wife have a new little boy, too. Too bad these little cousins can't grow up knowing each other.

In the next few days I'll need to make a decision about my hair. To cut or not to cut? That is the question.
